Nepal still acting with China in mind

South East Asia News.Net
Thursday 8th May, 2008

Nepalese police have arrested more than 200 Tibetan exiles demonstrating in Kathmandu, as China thanked Nepal for its efforts to stop protests.

The police said they arrested the Tibetan demonstrators after they tried to storm a Chinese embassy visa office.

Tibetan exiles, including dozens of monks and nuns, ran through the police lines and kicked the gates of the visa office in an attempt to storm it.

The police punched and kicked the demonstrators as they were loaded onto police vans and trucks.

Many protesters carried Tibetan national flags as well as placards denouncing Chinese rule in Tibet.

The anti-China protest by Tibetan exiles was the first in more than a week in Kathmandu.

The protests first began March 10th and until last week, they were held on an almost daily basis.

Human rights organisations have criticised the Nepalese government for use of force to break up demonstrations.

Meanwhile, media reports in Kathmandu said the Chinese government had thanked Nepal for its cooperation in ensuring the smooth transportation of the Olympic torch to the summit of the world's highest peak, Mt Everest.

Talk to the hand.

Rememember Tibetans came to us refugees and we let them stay and prosper. But if they create scence and make our things with China difficult then they must know that we’ve limits too.Don’t try to force us to be ruthless....in past we have conquered them twice.

India and India Authority has no respect for Any Kind of Human rights or international treaties and conventions.

They are the one who are constantly attacking our soverignty.

Read history to know more

India should stop using Tibetan exile to rile China. Nepali is not wrong to stop rioting tibetan who are supposed to behave in Nepal. Peaceful demonstration is OK, kicking and breaking or burning properties is not OK eventhough their western masters may say so.
No point bad mouthing Nepal or China. India is the country which annexed Sikkim, control the passport of visitors and foreign affair of Himnalayan nations including Buthan or Nepal, a practice passed down from the British colonialist.
