The group led by HINDRAF coordinator S. Jeyathas gathered peacefully outside Suria Kuala Lumpur City Centre on Wednesday morning, The Star Online reports.

They were clad in their orange t-shirts bearing the words Makkal Sakti sat in a few rows on the ground outside the entrance of the shopping complex.

Hunger strikers.

I think your cause may have been noble, but don’t you guys have got the brain to use it sensibly. The Pm treats you like shit, and why the hell you wanted to give memo’s to him.You are making him important, well friends, it must be the other way around. Why not carry placard’s in US to do some damage control. Then see the fun of it.

well said superstar48, this guys are trying to gain something for personal, not more than that. Why must go on hunger stike in a country that don’t know to appreciate it. Hunger stike by Gandhi was taken seriously by the whites as they are human but here....

hindraf, you all will be like mic soon, when the people realise that there are no more means and solutions you can offer...what is this hunger strike thing? you all hope that this will really help the indians?you only want cheap coverage, at the beginning, you all were very convincing, later on as the months pass by, when you have a little voice and attentio, the first thing you ask for is contributions from the BN!! i thought you all lawyers were sincere, listen when you ask for contributions,it means you are no better than vultures, no feeding on handouts of the BN, but on the very poor that you Promised, yes PROMISED yto uplift their misery.ther were funds raised , where is the money?like it or not you hindraf have KO yourself. i emphatise with the indians that they have such selfish so call champions of the down trodden.

Just making a fuss

They have told world that the malay and chinese hate them. They were being killed, their ethnic group were being cleansed, their temples destroyed (too much TV). Some of my friends from outside asked whether the news were true or not? I told them I never heard of anything like that. Have you? They told me, it was a big fuss in the philippines and us. They thought we Malaysians are going against human rights and violating them. Hindraf is not a champion, they are an embarassment to the Indian community and a disgrace to this country.
