MIC blamed for fall in Indian council seats in local government

South East Asia News.Net
Friday 30th July, 2010 (ANI)

A. Sivanesan, a Sungkai assemblyman in Malaysia, has expressed his disappointment over the fact that the Barisan Nasional government in Perak has only appointed 35 Indians among the 368 new councilors and criticised the Malaysian Indian Congress (MIC) for being unable to look after the interests of the Indian community.

"Since Indians made up 13 percent of the state's electorate, MIC should have been allocated at least 45 councillor positions," The Star quoted Democratic Action Party (DAP) A. Sivanesan, as saying.

Sivanesan also said that the Pakatan Rakyat state government, prior to being toppled, had appointed 45 Indian councillors in 2008 and 57 in 2009. (ANI)

It is a very serious allegation from Anounymous, Indian can be bought by RM 50. So can we buy u too. Stop the labelling and see how can one settle the need of marginalized Indians.

karna, dont forget the indian voters were being bought for just a mere Rm 50 only during the hulu selangor by election. every one knows that, why not you? its not just a cheap accusation from me. so you better wake up too, before you dig your own grave hanging with racialist UMNO. so dont blame others for the indians predicaments but your own kind.

Others were only paid kopi o and roti canai.

Voting opposition is not something to shout about. Voting the right person in is the issue. If the Indians vote were bought for RM50 by BN then I’m sure BN just paid kopi o and roti canai for others to vote for them or maybe just a salam were enough. My great hero friend voted free for the independents. Great opposition support. That’s why we have some donkeys as independent try to run a horse race in parliament.Good work friend.
I’m a supporter of PKR and PAS. Please help us to give evident in court on the case against BN in Hulu Selangor by election. PKR is trying very hard to prove BN used corruption in Hulu Selangor. Since you’re so sure that BN paid RM50 for each Indians votes please come forward to help us in the case . we need all the evidents we can get. Thanks friend.

Good, The Bad and Ugly

Sometime I wonder whether we know the Malaysia Politics. We just speak out for the sake of speaking out. We should think and write or give positive advise to improve the Malaysian Indian community here. We are just pointing our fingers to someone whom we do not his qualification, attitude and personality. We are the one put them there and now we blaming them. My advise is stop blaming or pointing fingers, just come in force and get rid of all the unscrulpous people who are currently handling the Indian Community. Have you all had heard the word

Fall in everything......thats for sure

The Indians of Malaysia are going to fall further in all aspects as the rightful citizens of this country as long as Mr Samy Vellu is playing a loyal and devoted poodle of the UMNO. You may ask why this is so. Simple mathematics my fellow Indian Malaysians. To safeguard his and his cronies benefits and well beings at any cost, including selling out the people of his own heritage, culture and traditions. When are we going to get rid of this poodle?

getting rid of Samy tak Malu today, comes another Umno’s poodle. So how? as long as BN rules, other than Malays, all races suffer. cos the malays dont realise that they are the pampered lot, they still want more at the expense of other races. malays are pendatang too, dont forget, they dont originate in malaysia, but came from indonesia and persia. the original people who belong to this land, rightfully are the orang aslis. dont you find that the BN government are one sided in many ways? dont they twist and turn with what they said? the BN governement dont consist of real professionals to run the country, you dont find an educationist as the education minister, you dont find an engineer as the minister of works, you dont find a doctor as the minister of health, you dont find an economist as the minister of trade, you dont find a banker as the minister of finanace, and the list goes on. look at the educational back ground of the various ministers yourself and you will realise. what a laughing stock government. they are more interested in SAPU MALAYSIA now. no wonder idris jala mentioned that malaysia will be bankrupt in 2019, corruptions prevails. it made some sense. just imagine, a pm and minister can be either millionaire or billionaire. how much do they earn as pm and minister? yes, we voted them in, we can also vote them out.
