(260410) -- NAY PYI TAW, April 10, 2026 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar's new president Min Aung Hlaing delivers a speech after taking the oath of office at a session of the Union Parliament in Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar, April 10, 2026.

Senior General Min Aung Hlaing was officially sworn in as the President of Myanmar on Friday.

The oath-taking ceremony, conducted before the Speaker of the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (Union Parliament), took place on the sixth day session of the first regular session of the Third Pyidaungsu Hluttaw in the capital, Nay Pyi Taw.

During the session, U Nyo Saw and Nan Ni Ni Aye were also sworn in as the country's vice presidents. (Xinhua/Myo Kyaw Soe)
