Kason Full Moon Day, also known as Buddha Day, commemorates the birth, enlightenment, and death of Buddha, all of which are believed to have occurred on this day.

It has been a tradition for Buddhists across Myanmar to attend water pouring ceremonies to cool and bring peace to the Bodhi tree, which is considered the birth partner of Lord Buddha and treated with great reverence. (Xinhua/Myo Kyaw Soe)
